This is a new poet for me. I liked Damnation and Cotton Candy a lot. From the title and cover, I was expecting this to be a collection of humorous poetry and the blurb gives very little away. The poems are a lot darker than I expected. This is a good thing as the collection really surprised me. The poems are visceral and haunting at times. I enjoyed all of them. Among my favourites were Southeast Downtown, A Day at the Beach, Talisman, Monkey World and The Unveiling.
