According to the daily weather forecast by the Department of Meteorology, rainy conditions will persist in several parts of the country.
Showers or thundershowers are expected to occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-Western, Central and Eastern provinces and in Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Polonnaruwa districts during the evening or night.
Rain may also occur in Western coastal areas and in Galle and Mataradistricts.
