Many D’Angelo devotees have heard at least some of his rare Live At The Jazz Cafe album from 1995 (it was a limited release in Japan and Europe), but now we get the news that the record will be getting re-released with five (!) new tracks from the show. The new version will contain unreleased versions of such soul classics as Al Green’s “I’m Glad You’re Mine,” The Ohio Players “Sweet Sticky Thing,” and Mandrill’s “Fencewalk” from the show. Live At The Jazz Cafe, London: The Complete Show will be out March 25th, although with all things D’Angelo these days, we will believe it when it actually happens.  To get you in the mood, check out the video below from a 1997 episode of The Chris Rock Show featuring a Valentine’s Day performance of “Lady” by D’Angelo, Raphael Saadiq, Questlove and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
