As you can see the schedule was packed in mighty tight but there was plenty of time to meet other bloggers and greet the various sponsors. The sponsors were AVG, The Walt Disney Company, ABC Studios, Thinking Slimmer Loving Life, Microsoft, Freya, World Vision, Palmer's, The Leather Satchel Co, Pink Lady, Savoo & Dodo-Pad. We started off in the glorious main Ball Room to be introduced to the lady behind Cybher, the fantastic Sian (Geekisthenewchic). She had clearly worked extremely hard to organize such an event, and her team were all smiles when we were first greeted. When we arrived we got our name badges and custom made satchel from The Leather Satchel co. In the main room we met the main panel, a mixture of blogging types from fashion to those who produce e-books. It was a delightful insite into what the day held. I was very lucky whilst at the event to meet up with my lovely friend Katie. As many of you know, Katie & I were the lucky bloggers to win tickets to the Elle Style Awards with Next. We also went to the Blog Camp UK & now Cybher ... but this would be our last meeting as she is leaving me and heading over to Florida to live. Boo hiss! None the less it was lovely to see her! I also got to see the amazing El from A Thrifty Mrs blog, it was around a year ago we met at the IFB UK meet. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was fantastic to network loads and see some of the talks. Down stairs where our coffee breaks & lunch was, there was all the sponsors. On arrival we popped downstairs and I immediately got chatting to Freya lingerie. As some of you may or may not know I've lost quite a bit of weight, so I have been meaning to get measured. The lovely ladies at Freya measured me and it turns out I was extremely wrong in sizing... I will be posting more about this very soon.
We also met the lovely Ian at Microsoft who had a very addictive game of Kinect, The Savoo team, The lovely ladies at Walt Disney & ABC Studios (where I joined the ladies on Wisteria Lane)
I well look like I should be on Wisteria Lane!
There was even pink lights everywhere! Not sure if that was the venue or just for Cybher!
The Disney stand told me of the designs made for Miss Piggy at their latest film premiere. What a lucky pig!
At the Microsoft game. The guys that supplied the addictive Kinect game! Trust me I tried so hard to win the camera - but dearest Katie won!
Katie & me near the addictive game!
After to losing to Katie, I was slightly disappointed as I had tried so very hard to win! However I was a very lucky girl as my raffle number was called out by Savoo. They had a clear booth (like a phone box) full of dollar bills and £5 notes, the air comes up and you have to catch as much as possible. My number was chosen! What a win! It certainly covered my train ticket and bought me a decaf skinny latte on the way home! Thank you Savoo! So to sum up it was a fabulous day, meeting equally fabulous people. I'm certainly looking forward to the next one!xoxo
