Cruelty-free Bathtimes | Blogs I Love

As an animal-lover, vegetarian, and a lover of bathtime, finding beauty products that haven’t been tested on animals and that you know are truly cruelty-free does inevitably require a little more research. There’s also the matter of making sure they are vegan or even vegetarian, depending on your requirements. It also demands a bit more trial and error in finding products that suit you and prior planning if you need to order online.

Luckily, there are more and more ethical companies popping up all the time to provide plenty of choice. In addition, there are some incredible bloggers out there navigating this territory for us and giving us something lovely to read at the same time. Over time I hope to be able to provide some useful information on the topic by sharing the brands and products I use, and new ones I find, with you – I’d love to hear your thoughts on if this is the kind of thing you’d like to read here.

Without further delay, I am going to share with you some useful links and cruelty-free bloggers that I love:

• Logical Harmony is full of vegan, cruelty-free beauty, fashion and food. As well as some great information on how to find out if brands are cruelty-free, San Francisco-based Tashina also has a comprehensive brand list that is regularly maintained

• Louise at Make Up Etc. focuses on cruelty-free beauty and has a brand list of animal-friendly brands and a “naughty list” that comes in handy for a quick check of which brands to avoid in the UK

• With a ‘Cruelty-free 101‘ series, the gorgeous Cruelty-Free Kitty blog is a great place to bolster your knowledge in this arena. I also love Suzi’s post on alternatives to cult beauty classics for demonstrating that there really is no need to compromise on ethics

• If you’re in the US, the this list of cruelty-free drugstore brands from The Friendly Fig will come in handy. Be sure to check out Bianca & Sara’s yummy vegan recipes too

• Another UK blog, Jessica at Cruelty-Free Cottage has a small but helpful list of companies who do not test on animals that includes food, fashion and more.
