Alison & I both learned the basics of corset making together about 6 years ago but she quickly surpassed me, displaying a real talent for one of our most loved and adored pieces of fashion & lingerie. Sheer passion & determination has quickly gotten her Crikey Aphrodite label a reputation on the Scottish fashion and wedding circuit and no wonder! Added to her corset collections, Alison makes suspender belts, frilly knickers, garters & skirts to match, making her creations truly fantastical!
Not only for special occasions and fetish lovers, the corset has always been on the sidelines of mainstream fashion, hiding inside those beautiful designer dresses that we see on the catwalks,in wedding couture or worn mostly as lingerie items, but in recent years this stunning fantasy item that was once thought of in the context of fashion history, has really come into its own, appearing everywhere you look as outerwear.
