Aetna dental care providers are known to be one of the best dental providers in the dental insurance industry. In fact, Aetna has many members across the country and a vast network of healthcare providers. Aetna is also able to provide affordable dental care to its members.

In addition to affordability, providing quality service is also important to Aetna. To ensure that they provide quality service to their members, they make sure they have qualified practitioners in their network. To be part of the provider network, Aetna healthcare professionals must meet different criteria and standards.

Through the Aetna accreditation system, dental providers are assessed and their training and education verified. The qualifications of the candidate supplier are assessed, their performance in the health and academic field is examined. This accreditation process is important to ensure that quality is met by Aetna dental providers.

Aetna has also participated in the Affordable Quality Health Care Council or CAQH. This organization developed the Universal Credentialing data source. This CAQH effort allows practitioners who wish to be included in the provider network, to register in a single database or submit a single request. This would remove or eliminate the possibility for practitioners to participate in many or multiple organizations. It also facilitated the application of the supplier's network.

Applying to be part of the Aetna supplier community is very easy. They have an accreditation service that would take care of the supplier selection responsibilities and processes. Accreditation customer service could also be contacted via a toll-free number, to follow up on a dental provider request.
