Creating Happy Travellers!
Like most of the Indian families I too have a family who has a modern out look but quite orthodox but there are times when my orthodox parents also think beyond orthodox parameter like us. Such times are though very rare to be found but I usually come across such wild thoughts of my parents when they are traveling or have returned from a vacation. I find them with full energy. It was once when both my parents had gone on visit to eastern India, n’ they had gone to Shillong. Once they had returned they had expressed their desire to be there once more.
I  would definitely like them to visit that place once more and see more of that place.Shillong is the Capital of Meghalaya state which had come to existence after the split of Assam into two Different states. To reach Shillong one has to get down at Guwahati Railway station and travel around 105 Km by taxi. The pain of the travel vanishes once you reach the place, it is worth taking all the pain. The culture of this state is very different from other states. Unlike other states the mother is the head of the family and the mothers surname passes on to the successors and the unique one is the Younger daughter inherits the property. The place is surrounded by natural beauties like parks, waterfalls and mountain peaks.Due to time constraint they could not explore the place much in their last visit.
Creating Happy TravellersIt would be great if they go there again for a trip without thinking about the work hassles back home. Both of them may have some privacy which they do need and of course a much needed break from the routine life which keeps them tied down to home all time, but this time i'm planning to do their itinerary by Yatra.com for creating Happy travelers all across the globe ,one does not have to limit their stay, because Yatra has all the facilities at one go they have flights, buses, train hotels and various offers which reduces the pain of running from one travel agent to another, saving time and money. With Yatra .com i can personalized their trip according to our budget and likes.
The Simple fact why we love this place is because the culture is very different from other cities or states, women are given equal right's and are treated as head of family. Therefore one must visits to see its natural beauty and learn something from their culture. The water falls of the capital of Meghalaya may bring some soothing peace and satisfaction. The vast spread greenery n the mountain peaks and of course the depth of the falls may remind them that how far they both have journeyed together with their silent support for each other during the high and low of life. The nature may make them fall in love with each other once again. They can have time to re-live their youth , which they could not do due to the burden they had to take care of at that age. They can rewind their life till date at the banks of the waterfalls like Elephant falls or sweet falls which is around km and 8 Km from Shillong. Where the depth of these falls may remind them the downfalls they have faced in life the mountain peaks will definitely succeed to make realize them their achievements together. Another tourist place is the Shillong Peak which is 1965 meters above the sea level around 12 Km away from the city gives a breath taking view of the city from such an height and the city’s night view is a must watch from the peak as with all the lights on the city may steal your breath away giving you a feeling of stars under your feet  like “Taare Zameen Par” sort of…..The forest surrounding the peak is worth exploring as it has various rare kind of plants and it has the famous and rare insect eating pitcher plant too, other than these tourist spots there are other tourist sports such as Lady Hydari Park, Wards Lake, Capt. Williamson Sangma State Museum, Golf Course and Spread Eagle Falls, etc..
Creating Happy TravellersIt is also the paradise for food lover's and one can find the food interesting too as unlike rest of the country the people here eat mostly roasted and boiled items with less masalas and salt. The local market Lewduh is the largest sreet market in north-east India, one can find the wooden handicrafts and  the hand woven shawls in these street markets.
To escape the hassles of daily life and to give one’s self  a brake from same old mechanical routine life .Shillong would be a nice hide out no doubt..So head for it now,Creating Happy Travellers By Yatra.com  .
