Monday mid-day in Washington, 2 888 729 COVID case – 19 had been accounted for, for 130 007 death.

Most affected country – in absolute value – in number of diagnosed cases and deaths, the United States has known since June a serious peak of contaminations which pushed several States to suspend their deconfinement process, even even go back by closing the bars.

The daily number of contaminations recorded thus reached a record of 57 683 cases Saturday.

While the bar of 100 00 0 deaths had been crossed on 27 May, President Donald Trump is delighted that the number of daily deaths is falling, even if several experts estimate that it could follow the curve of new cases and rise again in several weeks.

A further shutdown of the American economy is not on the agenda, after the catastrophic employment figures in March and April.
