(Paris) The pandemic of the new coronavirus has made at least 656 750 dead around the world since the WHO office in China reported the outbreak of the disease at the end of December, according to a report established by AFP from official sources Sunday at 7 a.m.

More than 17 896 220 cases of infection were officially diagnosed in 193 countries and territories since the start of the epidemic, of which at least 08 952 00 are today considered to be cured.
This number of diagnosed cases, however, only reflects a fraction of the actual number of contaminations. Some countries only test severe cases, others prioritize testing for tracing, and many poor countries have limited testing capacity.
On Saturday, 5557 new deaths and 248 100 new cases have been identified around the world. The countries that recorded the most new deaths in their latest reports are Brazil with 1088 new deaths, the United States (1051) and India (853).
The United States is the most affected country in terms of both deaths and cases, with 110 434 deaths for 4 620 487 identified cases, according to the Johns Hopkins University count. At least 1 461 885 people were declared cured.
After the United States, the most affected countries are Brazil with 85 563 dead for 2 685 877 case, Mexico with 46 472 dead (424 191 case), UK with 35 191 dead (303 952 case), and India with 35 364 dead (1 750 723 case).
Among the hardest hit countries, Belgium is the one that deplores the highest number of deaths in relation to its population, with 85 death for 93 00 inhabitants, followed by United Kingdom (63), Spain (59), Peru (59), and the Italy (054).
China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao) officially counted a total of 79 385 case (47 new between Saturday and Sunday), including 4634 deaths and 68 003 healings.
Europe totaled Sunday at 7 a.m. 200 487 deaths for 3 165 885 case, America Latin and the Caribbean 196 210 death (4 919 48 cases), the United States and Canada 154 385 death (4 737 084 case), Asia 61 844 death (2 917 571 case), the Middle East 24 620 death (1 163 707 case), Africa 10 919 death (945 248 case), and Oceania 220 death (19 656 case).
