(Paris) The pandemic of the new coronavirus has made at least 680 10 dead worldwide since the WHO office in China reported the onset of the disease at the end of December, according to an assessment established by AFP from official sources on Saturday at 7 am.

More than 17 638 500 cases of infection were officially diagnosed in 181 countries and territories since the start of the epidemic, of which at least 10 160 500 are today considered to be cured.
This number of diagnosed cases, however, only reflects a fraction of the actual number of contaminations. Some countries only test severe cases, others prioritize testing for tracing, and many poor countries have limited testing capacity.
On Friday, 6469 new deaths and 278 438 new cases have been identified around the world. The countries that recorded the most new deaths in their latest reports are the United States with 1442 new deaths, Brazil (1212) and India (764).
The United States is the most affected country in terms of both deaths and cases, with 119 314 deaths for 4 562 162 cases identified, according to Johns University count Hopkins. At least 1 438 160 people were declared cured.
After the United States, the most affected countries are Brazil with 85 453 dead for 2 662 485 case, Mexico with 45 680 dead (424 637 case) , the United Kingdom with 45 119 dead (303 177 case), and India with 36 511 dead (1 695 988 case).
Among the hardest hit countries, Belgium is the one that deplores the highest number of deaths in relation to its population, with 84 death for 92 00 inhabitants, followed by United Kingdom (62), Spain (58), Peru (52), and Italy (52).
China (excluding the territories of Hong Kong and Macao) officially counted a total of 78 337 case (38 new between Friday and Saturday), including 4634 deaths and 68 989 healings.
Europe totaled Saturday at 7 a.m. 200 200 deaths for 3 177 929 case, Latin America and the Caribbean 196 511 death (4 828 413 cases), the United States and Canada 160 232 death (4 678 286 case), Asia 61 764 death (2 848 779 case), the Middle -Orient 24 321 death (1 156 750 case), Africa 17 660 death (929 321 case), and Oceania 210 death (17 995 case).
