The novel coronavirus caused 200,284 deaths in the United States on Tuesday morning, according to John Hopkins University. The message is coming less than two months after the US suffered 150,000 deaths. More than 966,000 people have died worldwide COVID-19.
More than 31 million people have tested positive for the coronavirus, nearly 7 million of them in the United States.

COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus, has spread rapidly around the world. India has the second highest number of cases with 5.6 million, followed by Brazil with 4.6 million, Russia with 1.1 million, Colombia with 770,000 and Peru with 768,000.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has told states to be prepared for a vaccine to arrive by the end of next month. Others say the timeline is unlikely. The Washington Post also reported Tuesday that there will likely be no vaccine on Election Day on November 3, as the FDA reportedly introduced new, stricter standards.
