The United States government is reacting to counteract the spread of the coronavirus outbreak: It will prohibit the entry of most foreigners who had visited China recently and would put some American travelers in quarantine for 14 days. The public health emergency was declared.
Temporary restrictions followed announcements by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines that they would suspend air service between the United States and China for several months.
The measure entered into force on February 4, 2020. The norm is part of the declaration of health emergency in the US because of the dangerous outbreak.
