The new coronavirus has infected more than 3 million people and killed at least 210,842 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Rejected concerns: President Donald Trump has said he does not take responsibility for an increase in the number of people using disinfectants inappropriately after suggesting the ingestion of disinfectant as a remedy for coronavirus last week.

Not finished yet: The Director General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that "the pandemic is far from over" and that there is concern about the increasing trends in Africa, in Europe of the 'East, in Latin America and some Asian countries.

White House reopening plan: President Trump has announced a "plan" to set directions for how states should manage the coronavirus, distinguishing the roles between states and the federal government.

Blockages in the United States: The first phase of reopening New York may begin after May 15 in some areas, said the governor. Other states are already taking their first steps towards reopening. Meanwhile, the establishment of an on-site shelter in Georgia remains in effect until April 30.

Nigeria extends restrictions: President Muhammadu Buhari has extended the country's coronavirus lockout in three major states - Abuja, Lagos and Ogun - for another week until May 4.

Jobs in the UK: Four million jobs have been lost in the UK and a quarter of businesses have ceased trading, Chancellor Rishi Sunak told parliament on Monday.

Facial masks in the air: The American airline JetBlue will require that all passengers wear a face cover during the trip from May 4, while American Airlines flight attendants will wear face masks on each main and regional flight from May 1 .
