Brazil has set a record of deaths from coronavirus in 24 hours and has exceeded 300,000 cases in total, the country's health ministry said on Thursday.
The country reported a record 1,188 new deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 20,047.
The total number of confirmed cases in Brazil reached 310,087 on Thursday, up 18,508 from Wednesday, the ministry said.
