In view of this, the Indian Banks Association (IBA) has issued some guidelines with the help of which bank employees and account holders can remain protected from corona virus.
The disease spreads from infected people to healthy people through one person to another, so it is also very important that we keep a distance to prevent COVID-19 from spreading.
To prevent the infection of Corona virus, the Central and State Governments have urged the people that if it is not very important, then do not travel and try to work from home.
According to the Financial Express report, the IBA wants most bank employees to be allowed to stay at home. With this, he said, people should avoid going to the bank branch, till the time when it is very important and they should use online facility so that there can be less physical contact with the bank employees.
Transaction Safety Tips by Indian Banking Association
The IBA has given people some protective tips.
- IBA has told the account holders to avoid going to the bank branch and do online banking using the Internet banking facility, mobile banking from home.
- Customers can use electronic payment options like RTGS, NEFT etc. to make deposits or transfer through cash or check without going to bank branch.
- To avoid face-to-face meeting, the IBA has urged that people use digital platforms to take loans as well.
- To prevent corona virus infection, the banking association has advised people to use debit cards and credit cards instead of notes for payment.
- If you pay in currency or go to a bank branch for physical banking, then take care on personal hygiene.
- According to the IBA, for this you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap for at least 20 seconds before and after.
