Jesse-Y-Joy-Downy-US-Tour-430x247In Latin football culture, soccer and music are a great mix to add to the passion of The Beautiful Game. That is not the exception in Mexico as their national team, El Tri, is a source of pride, heartbreak and lots of passion.

When it comes to music and soccer in Mexico, there are very few countries that can match them and that is why the latest promotion by five-time Latin Grammy award-winning artists Jesse and Joy to create the theme song for El Tri.

“AT&T has scored the winning goal with this initiative, and we are as ecstatic as we are humbled to have been chosen to use our creativity and songwriting skills to create such a unique song,” said Mexican duo Jesse & Joy. “As soccer fans ourselves, we have great respect for the Mexican National Team. Soccer has no language barriers, so we encourage everyone to learn the song and chant it off the top of their lungs to support their national team.”

The campaign to promoting Corazón de Campeón began at Hispanicize in Miami back in April and since then the success was more evident, especially now that the Mexican national team is less than a month away from participating in the upcoming Confederations Cup in Brazil.

“Corazón de Campeón reminds us that the sport we grew up watching and playing continues to live in our hearts, despite the wide range of great professional sports that exist today,” said Roberto García, AT&T Director of Hispanic Marketing. “Every four years, fútbol fans across the world rally around their countries and players to witness the largest competition on the global soccer stage. With Corazón de Campeón, we hope that our consumers and Mexican National Team fans in the U.S. develop a deeper connection with their roots, the sport, and their star players.”
