‘My body is a temple but I treat it like my neighbour’s house. All boarded up and completely worn down’ is repeated twice at the beginning of queer Philadelphia duo Coping Skill’s ‘Bagel Fruit Water’. The band state it’s their ode to the way we treat our bodies like shit when we feel bad and it combines the melodic hooks of Adult Mom with the biting wit and observations of Diet Cig: ‘No one has been allowed entry since at least 2015’. It’s set to appear on the brilliantly titled ‘Worst New Music’ album (out via Citywide Records on 13 April) and we can’t wait to hear more.
