You might think it strange to review a bottle of rum without even talking about the taste, but we don’t even need to with such awesome packaging on this bottle of Contrabando, Dominican Republic Rum. Madrid design studio Tres Tipos Gráficos created the Dominican Republic rum packaging label for Grupo Caballero. “The goal was to emphasise the product’s caribbean roots by stamping its name “Contrabando” (meaning smuggling in spanish) forcefully over the traditional graphic imagery, as if local customs had busted an original foreign product.”
