I am continuing to work on two tall canvases (48" x 10") together so that they will be similar enough in color and style to hang as a pair. At a certain point I will focus on just one until it is complete, but for now I continued to develop the abstract backgrounds.
I drew circles, beginning with cadmium yellow light in the top center and working my way out through lime green, aqua, and cerulean blue. As I drew each color, I stopped and filled in the center, using a wet brush. I did not want the cirlces to be opaque, but translucent so that the previous background was still visible.
