Today I drew lines on my latest abstract painting, beginning with small marks in white, blue and orange to add texture and color. Then I used burnt umber to draw more sketchy lines inbetween the blocks of color, which helped connect the blocks to each other. I created several "paths" across the canvas in order to lead the eye out and back to the central focus.
