Content Marketing Provider Challenge: Blog Spring Training Wrap Up

Posted on the 15 April 2013 by Elizabethlmaness @elizbethlmaness

content marketing providerWas last week’s spring training a blast or what?

It was so exciting to feel the energy as people worked on their blogs, step by step, and saw their niche or topic through a whole new light.  Web designer Rob Russo mentioned that he could see a series coming out of his article on The Truth about Photoshop.

I love it when a series happens organically from a post. It just makes it that much simpler to determine what content to write when it’s clear that you have several pieces that are related to each other!  And when you can provide that kind of in depth value to your audience that comes from exploring a topic over time, it’s just great all the way around for you and your readers. It gives your readers an obvious reason to keep coming back for more.

Jennifer Herndon, is an entrepreneur with a tremendous amount of experience in helping business owners move into profitability as smoothly as possible. As part of our content marketing provider spring training challenge, Jennifer created an article of 9 Unusual but Achievable Tips to Start Profiting Now With Your Online Business.  The tips will surprise you, but she has the credibility and experience (and examples!) to help you know why each tip works and in which circumstances.

Author, blogger, and Beachbody Coach Elise Adams offered an article about the Five Most Popular Myths About Getting Your Kids to Eat Healthy.  She was another who commented on how fun the challenge was, and her article was a great example of how helpful it can be to mention peoples’ misconceptions about your niche right up front so you can clarify and educate your readers.

Readers were treated to a great “Question and Answer” format post from 21st Century Social Media Management that talked about the common questions people have about hiring a virtual assistant, and helped to answer those questions.  Her question and answer article on Are Virtual Assistants Worth the Money can be a helpful guide for someone trying to weigh the pros and cons of whether or not to hire outside help via a virtual assistant.

(Hopefully I’ve caught everyone who intended to participate in the Spring Blogging challenge – if you participated and I missed including you on the wrap up article, please let me know, and I will write a second wrap up article that includes you!)

Why a Content Marketing Provider Challenge Works

What I loved reading the most from those participating in the blog challenge was that it was fun.  And honestly – I suspect that what made it fun was the structure. You had a topic, a framework you knew you’d use, and a title.  Sitting down to write should have been easier, allowing you to spend more time on the quality of the information you provided for your readers.

Blog frameworks or templates are an indispensable tool in any content marketing provider’s box for providing content that people want to read and share with their friends. It makes the process of creating your content go that much more smoothly as a result. And once again, the art of providing amazing information that brings value to your audience is easy – and fun.

And isn’t that part of why you got into business for yourself in the first place?

If you participated in the content marketing provider challenge – feel free to leave a note – was the process valuable?  If you didn’t participate – would you be interested in participating in another challenge in the future? If you could improve one thing about your writing, what would it be?

Can’t wait to read your comments – leave us a note below!
