Consumer Smartphone Use and Attitude to Internet Security

Posted on the 29 January 2018 by Infographixdirectory @infographixdir

In November 2017 specialist insurer CoverBuilder polled a group of adults in order to learn more about buying habits on smartphones and attitudes towards online security – are we as concerned about safety when using a phone as we should be? The survey looked at a variety of issues in relation to smartphone use for online shopping, asking respondents to rate their concerns. Interestingly, over 50% of people did not feel comfortable spending more than £100 in an online transaction carried out on their smartphone and almost 90% would be put off purchasing from an online site that looked unprofessional. Does this mean then that we are subconsciously anxious about online security on our smartphones, even if almost all of those polled do not have any additional security installed on their phone?
