I have been volunteering at the Hiller Aviation Museum since 1998 and have come to know many interesting folks with the common love of aviation. One such person was Frank Weishaar, a WWII veteran who spent most of his active duty as a navigator on B-24 crews in the Pacific theater of operations. He was certainly one of the “Greatest Generation” and I enjoyed our weekend shifts as docents. Frank has “Flown West” and I want to dedicate this post to his memory.
