If you are looking for good skiing and great chalet, La Tania is well worth considering. Here are just a few reasons - but there are many more!
French Alps at their best
This lovely ski resort is located in the center of the world famous Three Valleys ski zone crossing Switzerland and France. The Three Velez actually includes several individual but linked resorts, of which it is one.
So, what does this resort mean and why would you choose it as the place to book your next ski chalet? La Tania is smaller and therefore more homely than some others. This is not to say that it is really small; It was built for the Olympics in the early 1990s so you don't call it small. However, there is a sense of space in terms of overall habitat levels and therefore population numbers, even at the height of the season.
The second big plus point for many is that it is family and ski-fun focused. It certainly has some demanding runs, but it also has a lot of early and intermediate runs that fall right into the center of the resort. This means the resort is family friendly, not the type where you will feel that you need to get at least two Winter Olympic gold medals under your belt before showing your face on the slope!
Another plus point is related to housing. In terms of the typical chalet, La Tania offers accommodation that is usually very modern, well designed and good value for money. Although in theory, everywhere should be the case with resort accommodation, well, it does not always happen.
the access
The resort has good road access. The traditional Alpine resort airports of Geneva, Chamber, Grenoble and even Lyon are within easy reach.
Snow record
The resort is located at an altitude of 1400 meters and is approximately 2700 meters at the top. The slopes are generally northward, which usually means a good period of powder. As you would imagine in the three valleys, snow cannons are available and this area is generally regarded as a good ski opportunity in most circumstances.

There is a large selection of bars, discos, clubs, restaurants and other social life. It is considered as one of the most vibrant places, but without boring and without too much strength.
There is a good range of other facilities including spa, ski school and non-skiing snow sports.
Other resorts
One of the major attractions of the three valleys is the inter-connectivity of the resorts. So, if you like changing the scenery and Maribel's journey, this is not a problem at all.
Summary
This one might not particularly be liked by those who think of skiing mainly because the latest outfits or accessories are featured in chic establishments to shine. It is probably unlikely to be fully suited to those semi- or fully professional skiers who prefer their snow sports to be constantly 'on the edge'.
However, in a favorable environment for good, intermediate and early opportunities, and an excellent chalet, La Tania is well worth considering.
