Now that these days everyone has multiple devices to work on at any given time, it can also be a smart idea to be more aware of computer security and the effect it will have on your technology. Every year technology is getting smarter and smarter, but with this hackers also get smarter and this is what creates a lot of risk for us when using our devices on a daily basis. Today we are going to chat about what you can do to keep your safer.

Passwords are the main source of security for our devices and when we want to keep our data secure we usually protect it with a password to keep it from other people. The main issue we find with this though is that a lot of people use really simple passwords, and a lot of people also use the same password for multiple things. To protect your security, make sure that you use a password which is randomly generated from an app like to keep things in order, and this will make things so much more secure.

If you have a business and you want to make sure that your sensitive data is kept safe and sound, you will need to secure your business assets from digital attacks . There are lots of ways you can do this and one of those is to make sure that your server is totally secure. If there is any weakness in your server it could be entered by hackers and your data can be up for ransom. Make sure that your server is totally secure and safe.

Spam emails and phone calls have been around for decades and it is still a big issue today and people are finding new ways to scam people out of their money. Gone are the Nigerian Princes who need money and now we have a whole tirade of people pretending to be a bank and asking the customer for details. Remember that before you trust an email you should hover your mouse over the address and see if it is legitimate, most of the time it will be a string of numbers and letters which is a sign of fraud.

At the end of the work day or at the end of a computer session, in general, you should always turn off the computer and make sure it is locked. This is because if you leave your computer on other people can either look at your machine or hackers can access it more easily. Making sure it is switched off is a simple thing and it can save a whole lot of issues.

Updates can be a little annoying when we are trying to do things on our computer but they are also there for a very good reason and we need to think about keeping our machine updated to keep it safe from viruses. Every update adds a new layer of security to our machines and this can stop hackers in their tracks, so make time for them!
