Competition: Win a Signed Copy of In the All-Night Café by Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart David!

Stuart David Belle & Sebastian

Most music lovers have a fondness for Belle and Sebastian. Whether you remember hearing them in the glory days of Radio 1’s Evening Session; delighted in them beating Steps to best newcomer at the Brit Awards; or have liked many of their singles and albums since, they’re a very special band.

Written by the group’s co-founder and original bassist Stuart David, In the All-Night Café is a memoir that looks back to the band’s humble origins in Glasgow in the 1990s through to the recording of their classic debut album, ‘Tigermilk’. Sure to appeal to anyone who has been in a band or is fascinated by the music industry as a whole, it takes a look at how this unlikely group of people formed into one of the nation’s most-loved groups.

Courtesy of publishers Little, Brown, we have three hardback editions of the book – signed by Stuart David himself – to give away to one lucky reader. All you have to do is answer the following simple question via Facebook, Twitter or email (subject line: ‘In the All-Night Café competition’) to [email protected] and we’ll choose the winners at random.

Which Belle & Sebastian song soundtracked Channel 4’s ‘Teachers’?

  1. I’m a Cuckoo
  2. Legal Man
  3. The Boy with the Arab Strap

Competition closes midday 18 July. Terms and Conditions apply.
