Glasgow Food – John Lewis – Tea on the Green – Glasgow
‘Tea on the Green’ is a “pop-up garden tea house” from the Games’ official department store provider, who will be offering free afternoon tea and a relaxing place to watch all the healthy folks throughout the games (24th July – 3rd August).
It will be on Royal Exchange Square, NOT on the green, however a city center location will be a lot handier for most folk.
Lindsay Ironside, operations manager at the Glasgow store – “At John Lewis, we always aim to bring unique and enjoyable experiences to our customers and ‘Tea on the Green’ will allow customers in the city center to soak up the spirit of the Games. We are hugely honoured to be a part of the XX Commonwealth Games and want to celebrate by bringing something really special to the people of Glasgow.”
Sounds like a great wee boost, free afternoon tea, sport and some fun
