Comments Policy

By Cnlester @cnlester

I’m a bit unsure about writing this as my instinct is to allow all comments, even ones that I disagree with or find offensive, because I’d rather encourage debate than shut it down – that seems one of the fundamental points of blogging.

But some of the comments on this recent series have been a little less understanding than the kind of comments this blog usually gets (with the exception of one very confused TERF who once wandered in, and someone else determined to spread some lies) – so I thought it would be a good time to outline the comments policy, such as it is. And all it really is is: please don’t make assumptions, and please be kind.

I’ll probably keep on allowing all comments anyway – but it’d be lovely if flaming or accusations were kept to a minimum.
