OK, so I know I’ve said this before, but book 1 of the SmallIvy investing books is about ready.  The book is written and fully edited.  This week I will order a proof copy to read through and make sure that everything is right.  I expect for the book to be available on CreateSpace, Amazon, and a variety of other places within a week!

I developed this book to pull together a lot of the information from the blog on financial management and investing into one place.  The book is written such that someone who has never invested could learn about the different types of investments and then start investing in individual stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and other assets.  It also gives information on how to invest your 401k.  Probably the most important thing it provides about investments is a description of the risks involved.  Before anyone invests a dime, one should understand how he can lose money or run into other issues.  This books describes the risks unique to each type of asset.

The book is more that a primer on how to invest, however.  It is designed to provide a total financial management plan for your life, starting from your first job through retirement and old age.  Most people who follow these guidelines will be able to become millionaires by their late forties and multi-millionaires in retirement, barring the collapse of the economy or confiscation of wealth by the government.  It shows how to set up your cash flow to buy assets, and then use those assets to increase your income and build wealth.

Ideally someone would read this book when they were a teenager or a young adult.  Older individuals could benefit as well, but unfortunately wealth building requires time and those in their late fifties and sixties really don’t have that much time left.  Still, the information on investing in retirement and making one’s savings last through retirement would be helpful.

I won’t lie and say that someone reading this blog regularly wouldn’t have already picked up a lot of this information.  In fact, there are sections of the book I have posted on the blog and portions of the blog I’ve taken and used for the book.  Still, everything has been placed in order and edited to provide an integrated product designed to be read from cover to cover.  Plus, it will only be $14.99 and well worth the price.
