Coming soon - a great vocal Chicago House track from Garry Todd featuring Mike Dunn

from the press release:

Founder of the Contemporary Scarecrow brand, Garry Todd releases ‘Bring Me Down’ as the third single on the label. Backed with a remix from Prime Numbers boss Trus’me.

The Contemporary Scarecrow imprint, although only on it's third release, has made quite the mark since its launch with a clear cut sign of quality embodied in the material. Launching with the critically acclaimed double pack from Boo Williams ‘Looney Chunes Vol.1’, which picked up support from heads like Lawrence, Christopher Rau, Hunee and Jovonn, and was swiftly followed by a single from house aficionado Mr.G, proving that the label meant business from the very beginning.

The release opens with the ‘Original Vocal Mix’ of "Bring Me Down", seeing Garry Todd blend raw, punchy Chicago-tinged rhythms with a classic stab sequence and hooky vocal snippets with the classic vocal sounds of Trax Records legend Mike Dunn. Dunn offers up an amalgamation of vocal lines, cleverly constructed in a call and response harmonic fashion to create a future classic house cut, stylistically inspired by the vibe that made a name for him and gave birth to House music back in its golden era.

Following is a ‘Dub’ version of "Bring Me Down", doing just as the name would suggest and stripping back the vocals for a tougher club interpretation.

Then last up to close the single, David James Wolstencroft aka Trus’me, delivers his ‘Stress & Pain Remix’, turning in a more refined interpretation as he opts for clean shuffling drums, hypnotic acid lines, a stabby bass hook and tension building house strings alongside snippets of Dunn’s vocals.
