About Kinane:
Comedian Kyle Kinane was last seen in Asheville as a featured performer in the 2011 Laugh Your Asheville Off comedy festival (and prior to that, crushing at the Orange Peel where he opened for Patton Oswalt).
Coming on-stage with a gruff demeanor and a booze-swiller’s bad ass attitude, Kinane surprises newcomers with his unexpectedly well-crafted standup sets. Born in Chicago, Kinane first tried his hand at comedy while attending Columbia College, influenced by the loose yet confident work of Mitch Hedberg and Patton Oswalt. He moved to Los Angeles in 2003 to pursue his craft, and by 2007, he was invited to the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival along with the television show Last Call with Carson Daly. In 2010, he released his debut album “Death of the Party” on the Aspecialthing label, and a year later, he starred in his own episode of theComedy Central Presents series. In 2012 he worked alongside Bob Odenkirk, Zach Galifianakis, and others and developed an animated series for Comedy Central called Triptank.
He has performed in the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, LA Comedy Fest, the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the DC Comedy Fest, and the Leicester Comedy Festival in the United Kingdom, in addition to SXSW and Bonnaroo.
Here is a clip of Kinane performing:
Joining Kinane on stage will be comedians Nate Craig and Sean Patton, who are headliners in their own right. Local comedians Cary Goff and Minori Hinds will also be performing.
