A former Asheville resident is recording his comedy album tonight and tomorrow night at the LAB.

From the Facebook Event Page:

Joe Zimmerman will be returning to Asheville Nov. 15 & 16 (Fri & Sat) to record his debut solo album with New Wave records. His late night debut will air November 20th on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Joe has recorded two previous albums with the Beards of Comedy tour; their most recent “Cardio-Mix,” with Comedy Central records. 2013 has been an exciting year for Joe. After moving from Asheville to New York city he made his Comedy Central debut on the John Oliver New York Stand Up show, taped a set for Nickelodeon‘s Nickmom Night Out, and was invited to be a New Face at Just For Laughs Montreal (the largest comedy festival in the world), where he was positively reviewed by both Time Out NY, The Spit Take, and The Comic’s Comic.

Joe has been one of my favorites for a while now because his humor is very clever. Plus him trolling Bank of America a year ago was downright hilarious.

Come out to the LAB and support a former Asheville resident!
