Colorado Man Dead After Accidentally Shooting Himself in the Leg

Local news reports A man reportedly died after accidentally shooting himself in the leg. Police say they responded to a medical call, but when they arrived they discovered the victim had been shot in the thigh and was bleeding heavily. The victim's 19-year-old son reportedly says his father was in another room on the computer when the son heard the gunshot. The son called 911. The victim was taken to the hospital, but did not survive. The Violent Crimes Unit investigated the scene. They say it appears the victim was handling a gun he thought was unloaded when it went off. I wonder if anyone bothered checking if he had a concealed carry permit.
