Coconut, Almond & Strawberry Superfood Milkshake | Vegan

I’m going to come right out and say it: I’ve found my new favorite plant milk.

If you’d asked me a week ago what my favorite plant milk was I might have told you almond, or maybe I’d have said coconut, but there would have been some indecision and a slight wavering between the two. So when Alpro got in touch and asked if I wanted to try their new Coconut Almond Drink it sounded like a dream come true. And it was – coconut and almond together make for the dreamiest, creamiest dairy-free milk ever. What’s your favorite plant milk?

I tried out the milk in all the usual ways: on its own, on cereal, in coffee, but to really make the most of it though, I knew it needed to go into something where it could be the star of its own show. Enter this Coconut, Almond & Strawberry Superfood Milkshake. The coconut almond milk brings a subtle sweetness and tropical edge along with its creaminess that matches up perfectly with fresh, ripe strawberries.

To give the vegan milkshake a boost I added a couple of Of the Earth Superfooods (who you can find out more about here) superfood powders I’ve been trying out recently:

Baobab: powdered pulp of the baobab fruit, grown only in parts of Africa, with a subtle citrus flavour; packed full of vitamin C (10x more than fresh orange), iron and calcium.

Maca: a Peruvian root with a malty taste; great source of protein, fiber and vitamin C; also linked to mental focus/clarity.

You can of course skip the superfood powders, use only one of them, or even sub them with others you have in your cupboard.
