Besides all this, another major attraction of this carnival is the rally, which this year will be held on the 1^st of January, 2013 in the Veli Ground from 3 pm onwards. The celebrations and other fairs start from 20^th of December and continue till the 1^st of January. Cochin Carnival is the much awaited festival by the local as well as the tourists. The preparations of the festival start in advance for hosting various games during the Carnival.
