The Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville is hosting its 2nd CNY Literary Festival, featuring more than 30 local authors from the Central New York area. The event is for all ages with authors of fiction, narrative nonfiction, and children’s books.
On Friday, October 4 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, the Library is hosting a reception with select author readings. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and listen to local authors, including legal thriller author Mike Langan, mystery & romance author Christine Wenger, paranormal romance author Erin Kelly, Sheila Myers, author of the Durant family saga series set in New York, and more.
On Saturday, October 5 from 10:30am to 12:30pm, the Library will host local children’s authors and illustrators, featuring Bruce Coville. Local fiction and nonfiction authors will be at the Library from 1:30pm to 3:30pm to sign books and meet and greet the public.
Join me for a celebration of local authors and emerging writers and participate in a community experience that encourages the love of reading, writing, and the value of literacy in our community. With author readings, book signings, hors d’oeuvres, and giveaways, the CNY Literary Festival will shine a spotlight on local authors in Syracuse and the surrounding communities.
In addition to the aforementioned authors, share a love of romance fiction with authors Patricia Antone, Regina Edwards Drumm, and Nicki Greenwood. Explore science fiction and fantasy with author Nicholas Davis, and uncover mysteries with myself and spy thriller author Robert Penbrooke.
The Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville is hosting the CNY Literary Festival to showcase and promote area authors. The library serves as a hub for writers in the area to meet, learn, share, and utilize resources. And a collection of local fiction authors is included in the library’s local interest collection, which is home to several nonfiction titles about the Central New York area and its history.
