Story: Close starts when Sam Carlson (Rapace) gets hired as a female bodyguard for Zoe Tanner (Nélisse). Zoe is the heiress to a multi-million dollar company and her father has left her a massive part of it. However, her stepmother Rima Hassine (Varma) has other plans to make sure the business gets the biggest deal in its history.

As Sam looks to follow a simple-looking bodyguarding role, she finds the house under attack. She must now use all her skills to protect Zoe and make it out alive. All the while they learn who is behind the attack, which sees them as the most wanted people in the area.

Verdict on Close

Close is an action thriller following a bodyguard getting involved in a role bigger than she expected. She must protect a young woman from assassins trying to hunt them down. However, they don’t know who to trust in the bigger series of events going on.

This does fall into the typical bodyguard action movies. It is entertaining and has great action sequences. However, if you are looking for something that will blow you away, this isn’t going to be that. It ends up being a great watch for the action movie junkies. Noomi Rapace is great in the leading role, but the bigger mystery doesn’t have as many potential suspects as expected.
