I’ve been holding out on blogging this event in the hope that a snowy day might come my way. However, as snow doesn’t seem to be on the cards, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer for the outfit post I had in mind. *books ski trip to Aspen* I was invited to the York store opening of Cloggs back in December along with a bunch of other bloggers and I almost didn’t attend because the idea of rocking up to a blogger event in York where you don’t know anyone is a tad daunting. However, I put on my big girl pants and headed off regardless and it turned out to be one of my favorite events of the year. Fancy canapes, fizz and designer footwear? Cloggs know how to throw a party.
We were given an introduction to the brand itself before being presented with little tags to hang on our favorite shoes and boots. My favorite thing about the Cloggs store is the sheer amount of brands they stock, we were really spoilt for choice. It’s one of the only high street stores that you can find DKNY shoes, Hunters boots, UGGS and Ruby and Ed slippers all in one place. I made a beeline for a pair of black snow boots that I’d spotted about 2.6 seconds after entering the store. We were told we would be gifted a pair of shoes of our choice and given three tags in total so we could highlight our favorite styles in priority order. I put my priority 1 tag on the delicious snow boots and quickly popped my other tags on various other styles in the store. Quite the VIP shopping experience.
My No 1 choice. DKNY Black Verna Snow Boots (they’re actually on sale here now) Just look at those pom poms!
As if the idea of being gifted the boots of my dreams wasn’t exciting enough, the Cloggs team had arranged a pedicure station so we could enjoy a spot of pampering. I already had gels on my toes so I couldn’t get a pedi but the thought was lovely and it really added to the luxurious feel of the event. We went home with major shoe envy and a lovely shoebox of goodies that included nail polish, padded insoles and of course chocolates.
I got the opportunity to meet lots of lovely bloggers on the night including the gorge Caroline from Notes From Caroline.
A huge thank you to Cloggs for hosting the event and surprising me with the DKNY snow boots of my dreams.
