This picks up where the first book, Clockwork Angel left off.
I loved this book as well. Some loose ends from the first book are tied up but even more questions are left unanswered for the third book, Clockwork Princess.
I like the whole Steampunk vibe the Infernal Devices series gives to the Shadowhunters mythology.
This book, like Clockwork Angel is set in Victorian London. I loved the setting; the author brings it to life and makes it really memorable.
I loved all the links to The Mortal Instruments series such as references to Clave, Idris, the Silent Brothers, Downworlder's, Magnus Bane (my favourite character), Camille and some ancestors of characters in The Mortal Instruments put in an appearance.
There is a rather annoying love triangle between Tessa, Jem and Will but thankfully this doesn't take up a lot of time or get too cheesy.
I love where Clockwork Prince goes and can't wait to read the final book, Clockwork Princess to find out if the Shadowhunters are able to triumph over Mortmain and his band of automatons.
