Clean Dog with Earthbath Mango Tango Dog Shampoo

I adopted my first dog this past May, and as anyone who has ever met me will tell you, I love this dog. I show off pictures like people show off their newborns. I do have a good reason though, he’s a darn cute pug.

Owning a dog for the first time came with a few surprises. I quickly learned he can get downright stinky. What gives? Cats figure out how to clean themselves, I figure out how to clean myself, can’t my sweet Teddy figure out how to keep himself clean? I guess not. So I realized I’m gonna have to bathe this dog regularly.

On a pug discussion board, I posed the question of everyone’s favorite dog wash and Earthbath came up more than once. After looking into the brand, I was very pleased to find out they are an eco-friendly company and have quite an extensive list of available shampoos. I decided to get Mango Tango. Why? I dunno, it just seemed like a nice one. Plus, I love mangos. Since I love Teddy, it seemed like a good fit.

Earthbath’s description of Mango Tango: Add brilliance and shine. Mild detangler and excellent coat enhancer. Tropical mango fragrance.

Given that Teddy is a pug with a short coat, he doesn’t need a detangler, so I cannot speak to that. I will say I totally agree that this is an excellent coat enhancer. After a bath he is SO soft, I want to snuggle and squeeze him, even more than usual. Poor dog, he cannot escape me.

While this says shampoo, I really feel like this is a shampoo and conditioner in one given the fact he is so soft after, and that softness extends for about a week until he dirties himself up again. The texture is a thick, clear liquid and creates a thick foamy lather. I really like to lather him up (I won’t deny it, I do it cuz it’s cute), and so I use two quarter-size amounts for his entire body.

The fragrance is very tropical, and almost a little sweet. Its sort of like a mango vanilla – but more mango than vanilla. Its very fresh too, not a fake or artificial scent.

Overall, I’m so glad I found this company. I think Teddy is too, he seems to have an extra pep in his step after he’s all dry and clean. He’s a happy, and now clean, dog

🙂
And best of all, free of nasty chemicals!
