City Break Holiday Essentials

Hello Freckles City Break Essentials
I'm not usually one for a beach holiday, city breaks are more my thing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy walking along a beach, maybe spending a couple hours relaxing and watching the waves, but I like to be out seeing sights and exploring new places. When Marks and Spencer asked me to put together my holiday essentials, I thought it'd be a pretty easy challenge and possibly helpful if you're planning a break somewhere soon.
City Break Holiday Essentials First up, the outfit staple, something versatile that you can wear more than once and something that can take you from day to night. If you're heading on a city break the chances are, you might just have hand luggage, so you can't be taking all your dresses and every pair of shoes - it just won't fit!

I picked out this kimono* from Per Una. It's light enough to keep you cool in the sun, but offers a little extra coverage and a pop of color. Wear with shorts and a cami during the day then add some sandals like these ones from Jones* for the night and you're sorted.

As for taking toiletries, hand luggage can be a bit of a nightmare so travel sized minis can be a great idea, like this Ren Grab and Go Kit*. It's a great way to try out new products too! If you're a bit wary of trying new things while you're away, just pop your usual moisturiser, cleanser etc. into smaller pots so you can take them with you. If you've got hold luggage, or you're not getting a plane then you needn't worry about the 100ml rule, but bulky bottles can take up a lot of space.

Sunglasses are another thing you definitely want to take with you, plus a hat if you know it's going to be sunny and warm. Fedoras are still really in lately so pack one with you, just be careful if it's windy. I've had to chase mine down the street a few times!

What would you pack as your essentials for a city break?
