On the instructions of IGP C.D. Wickramaratne, questioning of Inter-University Students’ Federation (IUSF) convener Wasantha Mudalige and two others will be handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the police said.
Police last Thursday arrested 14 university students including Inter University Student Federation Convener Wasantha Mudalige, after dispersing a protest march organized by the IUSF.
The protest march was proceeding from Town Hall towards Fort when the police blocked the march at Union Place after firing tear gas and water cannons.
