Ciara Wasn’t Trying To Judge She Was Trying To Share With #LevelUp Comment
Ciara received backlash from social media over the weekend for sharing Pastor John Gray’s sermon “Too Many Women Want To Be Married, But You’re Walking In The Spirit Of Girlfriend.”

Ciara caption the video “Level Up, Don’t Settle.”

In the video (which is an old video by the way), Pastor Gray shares with the single ladies that the scripture says:

“He who finds a wife, finds a good thing, not he that finds a girl that he’s attracted to, who he then begins to date, who he then calls his girlfriend, who he then buys a ring, proposes to and makes her his fiancée, who he then marries later who becomes his wife.”

Anyway, some folks on Twitter didn’t like it, with one Twitter user sharing that Ciara was playing a dangerous game, implying that the singer was trying to tell them why their relationship wasn’t successful.

“Ciara’s playing a dangerous game,” one tweeted. “You should never, no matter how perfect your relationship/marriage appears to be, sit on a throne and tell people why they’re not romantically successful. You can be the queen of the ball today and have cake in your face tomorrow!”

Ciara followed up the video with her personal testimony of basically being “that” girl Pastor Gray described in his sermon.

See, what folks didn’t realize is Ciara shared that video, because that “single woman” Pastor John Gray was preaching about was once her.  She wasn’t trying to judge, she was trying to share.

Ciara dated rapper Future, had a baby, and an engagement ring, but never made it down the aisle.  Instead of losing hope, she strengthened her faith, and learned to love herself and God sent her Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, whom she married in July 2016.  They have a daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, who was born last April.
