Police revealed that the Chief Inspector of Police, who is allegedly involved in the kidney racket related to a private hospital located in Borella, is still working with the blessings of several senior Police officers.
Many Police officers said that the Police officer, who is attached to the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau, was on leave and did not report to work after the kidney racket was revealed, and now he is working as usual as if nothing had happened.
Officials also say that since the Police officer in question seems to have the protection of several high ranking Police officers, he has no fear of resorting to illegal acts.
The officers said that he returned to work after being suspended, in connection to the investigation on the killing of the owner of the Biyagama Village Hotel.
