Verdict on Christspiracy
Christspiracy is a documentary exploring the connection between Christianity and the meat industry. It tries to find the answer to the question ‘Is there a spiritual way to eat animals?’ This takes the filmmakers on a journey to try and uncover a connection between religion and government.
However, their journey takes them around the world and turn to other religions to learn their stance. It provides shocking truths about religions from around the world that take part in animal slaughter for profit.
This does have a connection to Kip Anderson’s previous work exploring connections between marketplaces. It explores a bigger discussion and offers perspectives from different religions around the world.
People will see this as controversial because of the subject matter. It wants to show what religions understand about the consumption of meat. The study of the meaning behind certain words is incredibly interesting. As well as exposing the large failures within the world.
Where to Watch
Christspiracy will be coming to UK cinemas from 20th March.
Final Thoughts – Christspiracy is a fascinating journey into the connection between religion and the meat trade.
