This just in Christopher Meloni has just been casted to play Leo Durocher in the movie 42. This movie is about Jackie Robinson and the breaking of baseball’s color line. Some other roles have been casted in the movie such as Chadwick Boseman will be playing Robinson, Harrison Ford will be playing Branch Rickey. For those who don’t know who Branch Rickey is he is the guy who:
“signed the second baseman and changed the world.”
Christopher will be playing Leo the Lip Durocher. Leo was the Dodgers manager and was also an avid supporter of Robinson. He also stuck up for him when he had to face racism from crowds.
Looks like a great movie on something that changed baseball and history everywhere else.
