Do your Christmas shopping at the only Underwater Shopping Arcade in history!
In 1843 Brunel built the world’s first underwater shopping arcade and The Brunel Museum runs the world’s only underwater retail experience. ‘Brunel’s London’ Saturdays/Thursdays London Walks to see the sixty arches with their hundred and twenty columns from the platform at Wapping. ‘Gulliver’s Travels to Brunel’s Tunnel’ Sundays/Tuesdays London Walks descend into the Entrance Hall of the sub aqueous shopping mall.
On all these walks visit The Brunel Museum shop for books, souvenirs and stocking fillers for the Geek in your life. The Tunnel was also the world’s first underwater banquet hall and fairground until the trains came in 1869.
Robert Robert is allowed to drive sheep across London Bridge. An Oxford graduate, he's an actor, museum director, author and holder of the Freedom. Let alone the first person since Brunel to organize an underwater fair. He's got the keys.
A London Walk costs £9 – £7 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com.
