It has only been a few days since we returned from vacation, but you wouldn't be able to tell because any trace of a "tan" has vanished from my body. It's fun being Caspar the ghost. But in all seriousness, Saint Lucia was a relaxing trip and a place that offered plenty of opportunity for adventuring. One day, we were lathering ourselves in the famous mud from the volcanic mud baths and the next, we were zip lining in the middle of a forest. Oh, and we had plenty of fresh coconut water straight from the trees themselves. When we weren't waterskiing or heavily breathing/hiking, we were just relaxing on the beach. The whole week was a blur now that I am back home doing Euro homework...At school, I rarely have time for pleasure reading, but this trip allowed me to tear through 2 whole books! I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot more reading this year. Speaking of the New Year, how did you all spend your evening? I anticipated some sort of festive night out, but just ended up on my couch with my dogs watching the TV, and spotting my sister who was in Times Square. Her NYC life is hard to keep up with these days.

As the break trickles down, I'm less concerned about how it's a new year but more in awe that my senior year is practically halfway over. Plus, most colleges' deadlines are approaching or have already passed which means all that is left in the college process is getting decisions...in three whole months. I feel like my life consists of avoiding homework, sleeping, and complaining about how stressful this all has been. I promise posts where I don't mention school are on the way! xoxo Isabelle
