Carrie lives for her successful career as an event planner in New York City, but everything changes after a bad car accident in a snow storm not long before Christmas. She was warned not to use her phone whilst driving . . .
On UK Sky TV we have a Christmas 24 channel over the festive period it is filled with made for TV Christmas movies. I decided I would give this one a watch last night due to the time it started. I found myself wondering how it was going to end (although should have guessed).
So Carrie finds herself in heaven and is told she must do something good and help a man before she is allowed into heaven. Therefore she must use her work skills to help a man and his daughter out, Christmas is not his favorite time of year due to his wife’s death years before. He has a struggling restaurant but that is soon turned around after Carrie shows up.
I won’t spoil what happens in the end (if you ever, but I guess you won’t watch this film) but I will say that this film is beyond cheesy. I mean I thought it was going to be cheesy but it was really extremely cheesy from start to finish! A certain song in it really pushing it over the edge to a new level of cheesiness! But will Carrie realise that she could have had a different life to just the career she settled for and will she except that she is so much like her father? Or is that all just too late?
I guess that is what we should expect from a made for TV Christmas movie, but that doesn’t really make it much easier to watch in the end. The acting’s not great in it either but I guess that’s another thing to remember when it’s made for TV. It had no intention of being well watched really!
